Life's Shadows

Life's Shadows

A Poem by Panhead Rod
"

Written while watching the river going out into the ocean on a foggy day and questioning life.

"
...
Fog across the estuary...
as waves roll slowly in...
Sand bar across the river...
nearly invisible...
Reminding me of Life's shadows...
No light shed...
yet energy still coming in...
Fluctuating ripples below...
signs of activity...
Propelled by hidden forces...
Forces out of control...
Energy revolving...
as waves roll slowly in...
...

Amazing and worthwhile dance of words and thoughts.
"Reminding me of Life's shadows...
No light shed...
yet energy still coming in..."
I did like the above lines a lot Rod. The shadows do find us. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

I like the "holding" quality of this one... reminds of moments and views of my own - looking down from decks, battlements, promontories, helo's, and "other" of life's pauses...

"Life's pauses" is a good way to see it... It was exactly that. Thank you.
