Worldly Women

Worldly Women

A Poem by Panhead Rod
"

A poem honoring women on this International Women's Day...

"
...
Women play a part...
in everybody's life...
If nothing else...
they were the one...
who birthed you with strife...
...
Most did all they could...
to raise you with care...
Gave you meals...
Kept you clothed...
Taught manners through despair...
...
Many play a role...
In why we now live free...
Joan of Arc...
Lady Justice...
The Statue of Liberty...
...
Women do have souls...
Most brighten up our days...
A tender smile...
A thoughtful glance...
Love shared in many ways...
...
In my life, there's been many...
Who've fulfilled my life...
Sisters, Mother...
Friends and lovers...
First and second wives...
...
To all of them and all of you,
in each and every way...
here's honor...
love and respect...
Beyond this "Women's Day"
...
Happy International Women's Day
to all you worldly women...
...
