How do you make someone who's in love with you, stay in love with you

How do you make someone who's in love with you, stay in love with you

A Poem by Ericka Rossiter

My eyes will always be green so I will change my eyeshadow as many times as needed to make sure that they won't grow boring to you

I will bite my tongue during arguments in hopes that you won't get tired of me talking back to you when I feel that you're wrong and I'm right

My friends will stop calling after I stand them up one too many times, but I will not care as long as you're happy

I will color my hair until it falls out as long as you will still look at me with interest in your eyes

My family will start to worry when I don't come home for holidays because I'm spending them at home with you because your religion doesn't celebrate them

I will go tanning even if it means I'm ruining my skin as long as I'm as tan as you like me to be

My stomach will growl as I will not eat another bite until I meet my goal because you don't like girls who are on the bigger side

I will quit my job because you don't want me to spend too much time with other people

My life will start to revolve around you but you will slowly start to stay out longer every night

I will make you dinner and sit at the table for hours as it grows cold

My efforts will result in losing a long fight in hopes of you staying

I will question my self worth

I will recover

How do you make someone who's in love with you, stay in love with you?

You don't.
