Curse the Fool

Curse the Fool

A Poem by The Rainmaker
"

Who is the larger fool?

"
Curse the fool who fell for you
Hoping for a simple world
Curse the fool who tried to make
A life seem right, whole and true.

Mock the fool who tried to fly
Reach the sun and grab the light
Mock the fool who tried to heal
The pain, the heart, and all of you

Forgive the fool who failed to make
The light shine brighter, the wind blow quieter
Forgive the fool who tries too hard
Forgive the fool, because I forgive you.

Wow.. seriously got tears in my eyes when reading this . It speaks to so many people because everyone has been there weather it was the one hurting or the one being hurt .. I really like this ..

this really speaks to the lengths that we go to, in order to love. I like how your writing went from "curse" to "mock" to "forgive" it portrays a process of softening. I think that we're all in need of forgiveness at some point; blessed is the one who can soften their heart to our foolishness.

S**t.
I feel there is a larger picture here.. the voice of the writing is more sarcastic, but bitter. The reader realizes the fool you're referring to is yourself, but the real fool painted by the poem is not in fact you, but the one your words are addressed too. This opinion is instilled on the reader, and it's nearly angering.
Second time around I noticed there isn't really a whole lot of rhyming, but it totally isn't a bother at all because of how smoothly it flows.
Fantastic write. I had no idea you were a poet. :) Bravo
