Mercy

Mercy

A Poem by Red Hood

I watch as his ruby lips smeared in his own blood.
Life was slowly draining out of him.

I stood there as I held onto the blade.
Sharp.
Just as I hoped it would be.

He tried begging.
Only, his blood sputtered through the slit in his throat.
He held his hands out to me.

My mouth twitched.

Disgusting.

Yet amusing.

I held his gaze as I licked the blade.
Still warm.
