Sleep in Peace

As I lay so close to death I can't help but wonder why 

In this valley that's full of dispare I see the best of what brings us here

Hurt is around but love brings us close to mend the wounds not yet done 

With each last breath in my ear it brings up fear 

When it is all said and done another day will bring the sun

In that time the Lord will have claimed another great man by His hand
