many me s

many me s

A Poem by Alicante lullaby

somehow we were teaching ourselves

to be schizophrenics

i sort of parsed myself into many ''me s''

Sahar infront of family boys

never allowed herself to wear anklets

respectable women dont wear them

then there was this me

infront of college boys

how we laughed at most vulgar jokes

then me in front of daddy

cussing Tehmina Durrani

how can a woman expose herself like that...

there should be a me infront of me too

but i havent decided how to dress her yet.

Ok, this one I like very much. And you've inspired me to write a very, very bad poem.
So, thank you.

This is really great. For once in a way, i can comprehend your poetry. :) What this eventually leads to is the dissolution of oneself into the multiple fake personalities. It's like ur point about paintings.
That is why my rule number one is never lie to urself. To the world by all means :)

I love the ending - the faces - how will we face ourselves when we have to? what parts do we show and omit - you're always a great read!
