Dance The Night

Dance The Night

A Poem by Spencer Barker

A lullaby comes,
the swiftness of nights reigns drums.
We step back and forth,
the stars above us aglow,
in that of a summers late night.
Sweet smells of berries under the bushes we sow,
do we then ponder the glow in which the angels come low.
Your eyes look into mine,
a stars shine they are,
it is a wonder why they dance.
But I am glad they do.
