My Father

My Father

A Poem by Spencer Barker

A man stands tall,
taller than the rest.
His face the marking of a life true and dear,
with the hope of beginning,
the new life.

His hand in mine,
we walk.
The leaves bring his scent careening,
the sunlight shows his ever present wisdom,
yet he stands the time that we all know.

Our beginnings come differently,
but a man stands with all.
From life give us hope,
for touch gives us love,
it is all that is,
my father.

I love you, dad.

That's an extremely heartwarming write
Nothing like looking at a father as such a role model and a place of such light
I see you look at him in such a beautiful way
That's quite sweet
