AFTER THE RAIN

a poem

warmed by

sunrays,

mist rises

and escapes

in a canopy

of clouds,

pearly wisps of

meandering

vapours

enable a

multitude

of senses

to be aroused,

 

after the

incessant

teasing

of rain fall,

iridescent

beams of

sunlight,

through the

shrubs of

evergreen,

enshroud,

 

though,

peace in one’s

mind remains

unendowerd,

as festering

riotous

proliferations

of anguish,

halts focus,

then with

muddy

convictions,  

 

impetuously

confound

It seems the clouds came back; if not in form, at least in function. There is a dark gloom hanging over the ending. I always feel refreshed after the rain. I like to go out and hear the birds sing again. A soulful piece of music can sometimes be as cathartic as rain. I enjoyed the read.

the cold calamitous, cloggy mud I'm afraid must have ceased the day, and I had indeed depicted a non-receptive frame of mind, though I agree with you about the cathartic role that rainfall plays - thanks so much, for your interesting comments Fabian!

wow this is quite the read...starts out with such hope...there is a silver lining in every dark cloud...but then that just disappears as we become immersed in the anguish and muddy convictions.
