Weary and Broken

Weary and Broken

A Poem by S. Janszen

Weary and broken
I wait here for no one
With words never spoken
The moments are gone
Beaten, deserted
The ground shall soon claim me
After an hundred
Souls will find peace
Living or dying
What is the difference
Laughing or crying
One can't resist
Wond'ring and running
Fatigue relentless
Despising and hating
All that caused this

The purpose of this piece is obviously mystery: to keep the reader at unawares lest they be able to decipher the obscure symbolic references. Yet, it is still with easy flow and surprisingly concise giving it a simplicity unlike others of its type. Placement is perfect, phrases firmly counter and continue as needed, a fine effort in all aspects.
