Black Swan

Black Swan

A Poem by Thr!ve
"

Ballet experience of a lifetime.

"
My shoe was moving to every step I took. Beautiful, elegant, and stunning. I called myself Black Swan. My partner gripping me by the waist on every jump I did.  My arms lifting up as if I was flying. Soon I noticed my ballet shoe had a hole in front of it. I was nerve racked. The judges aimed their eyes at my shoe. I just made it look normal, like it was part of the dance. I changed up the dance a little. My partner did not know what he was doing. I felt bad. We started to expand in different ways. Left and right;i went. Right and left; he went. We fell into each other. We stayed on the ground, and right when the music ended we kissed. The judges stood up and clapped. I could hear cheering in the audience.

That night me and Nick won first place. I couldn't believe he kissed me. ME! Lily Swan. Or is it now official as Black Swan

Beautifully presented story. The spontaneity of dance can be a beautiful thing, and the way one covers up a mistake in their art can change it to be even more magnificent than it originally was. Keep up the great work!
