Nature's Conversation with I

Nature's Conversation with I

A Poem by SPF

The green grass flows with the gentle breeze
The leaves sway on the branches of trees
The sun shines down upon the field
Where I lay, the earth my shield
My heart beats with gentle love
As the blue sky glows above

The warm earth beneath my feet
Through my body runs a sudden heat
Cast away is my every care
As a gentle breeze blows through my hair
I wait for you in the light of noon
Hoping you will find me soon

The calming coolness of the night
Makes me feel without fright
Twinkling starlight illumines me
And shows me who I want to be
You dazzle me like the twinkling star
If only you knew, who you are

Early breaks the light of dawn
I hear the haunting white bird song
Bringing me to the realization
I am alone in creation,
No one is the same as I,
No animal, nor human, nor fowl in the sky.

I am content, but morning is nigh.
Thus ends Nature’s conversation with I.
