Avoidant Personality

My struggles with Avoidant Personality Disorder

Hiding
Longing for acceptance
Dreaming of the day when fear washes away

I lurk in the shadows as if hunting my prey
The sad part is, all I want to do is say “Hey!”

To join in conversation
To express an opinion
But once again I can't, and its based on my decision

For fear of ridicule
For fear of rejection
So I remain in hiding
Longing for that connection
