You Don't Know Me At All

You Don't Know Me At All

A Poem by Sagela

You don't know me

You don't know me at all

I hide behind a mask

Gleaming the candy of deception

Hiding like a nobody

Glittering like an everybody

I am a reflection in the mirror

Everything is backwards

Sometimes upside-down

Always morphing

You don't know me

You don't know me at all

You can't find my lies

Amidst the truth

You can't find my truths

Inside my lies

You can't see me

I reflect you

You can't reflect me

I see you

You don't know me

You don't know me at all

This is profoundly moving... I could so relate to the words as I hid myself for so long... Your poem made me sense again those feelings of isolation. So well written.

I liked this. It seems to describe well and poetically that paradox between who we 'really' are, and who we 'become' to adapt to circumstance.
