THE SNOW GLOBE –A SILENCE OF SNOW

THE SNOW GLOBE –A SILENCE OF SNOW

A Poem by Dave

THE SNOW GLOBE "A SILENCE OF SNOW

I stand looking up,

 watching the light from the tall window

 it turns the blowing snow slightly blue,

and the wind whispers through my life going

 from white to blue to white.

A small boy's breath frosts the pane

as he draws hearts and flowers,

X, s and O, s.

The glass is a transparent window to his soul.

 It is as silent as the falling snow;

as if the falling darkness matters.

The small hand turns the glass sphere

and the snow storm whirls within.

 I silently remember and watch

as the light turns the snow slightly blue.
