Daddy

A Poem by Sally
"

About my Daddy. This was an assignment for English, and we had to have alliteration in there[Its when the first letter of a word, usually consonants, and the same ][eg: while whithering weep]

"

Daddy

Sally Christine Russell

I miss you daddy.

I miss your smiling, but sometimes serious face.

Why did you have to move so far away?

You used to live down here in San Diego.

It was so easy then.

I flung my frivolous folder into its file.

I put it into my backpack and off from school I went.

Your tall tan frame sticking out from the crowd.

I would run to you and you gave me a bear hug.

We would go home and make marvelous macaroni and cheese.

But now everything has changed.

The housing market made a mediocre move.

And so you moved.

You moved way up the Boise.

Busy bustling Boise.

I rarely ever see you now.

One lonely, listless, lullaby,

Repeating through my head.

I want you to come home.

Home to smiling, sweet, singing San Diego.

I miss you daddy.
