SearchingA Poem by Sam
Previous Version This is a previous version of Searching.
These things went beyond her mind's capabilities
Painful thoughts posessing her conscious mind
A demon sent into her head
Some would tell her it was the trials and temptations of the great Christain Devil
She was briefly ployed by this life-preserving fantasy
She drowned wherever she went
She stumbled in whatever she did
She waited for the life-giving- breath-taking numbness that never came
Her personality changed
Her smile faked
Her posture like a neanderthal
Her eyes swollen and downcast
A few steps were miles
A few words a novel
Nothing is harder than getting out of bed
Doesn't want to wake up for the fear that this day she will end her wandering
Into a meadow with a stream running through it
The bright ball of fire smiled warmly down at her shivering frame
She stopped with her head in its familiar hang
Waiting
Contemplating
