How it felt

How it felt

A Poem by Echo

It falls freely

Running down my hand

Bright red turns dark

On the floor it lands

Sweet relief

From pain and anger

To the soft skin

The blade is no stranger

Slicing through

So easily

It's no mistake

It was ment to be

It all ends

Nothing can last

Maybe I could have lived

If I wasn't stuck in the past

I like this, makes one think a bit, nicely expressed.

The ways you descibed this were entirely the ways of a true person in pain. Everything from the red metal inside to the past of thoughts that haunt. Living in the past is hard to get out of, I would know, and moving forward is much more harder than imaginable. This saying of words is reaching deep within me, and pulling up the memories I thought I forgot, though the scars still remain. I kno wwhat you're feeling to an extent because no one can truly feel what you feel to the degree you feel. Thank you for the post.
