Villanelle Poem About Dancing

Villanelle Poem About Dancing

A Poem by Sandra M. McLeod

Come listen, do I happily entreat,
While I talk to you of beauteous dance.
Behold, an art so beautiful, so sweet.

Words describing dancers I repeat,
And bring to you some golden cheer, perchance.
Come listen, do I happily entreat.

A dancer's artistry is founded in her feet.
They do support a lithe and graceful stance.
Behold, an art so beautiful, so sweet.

Her loveliness provides us with a treat.
My words describing her, let you entrance.
Come listen, do I happily entreat.

A dancer embodies rhythm and the beat.
Her nimble steps, the music does enhance.
Behold, an art so beautiful, so sweet.

Poetic words of dance are good and meet.
Do sit with me if time gives you the chance.
Come listen, do I happily entreat.
Behold, an art so beautiful, so sweet.

Terpsichorean observation be it in a vestibule or grand ballroom showcases the artistry of motion, oh no your poem is contagious it now has me using words describing dance :) Your wording is masterful, your structure is ideal, I look forward to reading more of your work, thank you for sharing.
