You are the Universe...

You are the Universe...

A Poem by Sanjeeta Sharma Pokharel "Hridayaninadini"

(Yes,
For them-
Who think...
That you left me!
Sorry as well,
For I just heard you-

In the early chirrups…

You are the Universe-

Around me)

You follow me as the wind,

And guard me like the stars,

And chant the best of the chirps,

To heal these undying scars…

Your warmth, the sweetness of Sun,

And touch of grasses-your care…

You are the fireflies-

In the shadows- that I fear!

In the laughter of that child,

I behold your mirth,

When I miss you, this big-

I embrace this earth…

I know you are around me,

And watching what I do-

I may gaze occupied-

But…

Mostly, I think of you...

( This wind just whispered-

In my ears and left-

And here I park myself,

Staring at this void-

Smiling, yet...)

Thanks Mary. Only who goes through that pain can understand, how sharp it is.
Beautiful, haunting, poignant... they do become part of us and their spirit never leaves us although their physical presence has disappeared... thanks for sharing :

You are welcome and always a pleasure to read your words.
A point of experience of oneness ... like an epiphany ... that finds itself related to all life. Wonderful.

One of the best poem from you, very well metaphorically written and it carries so much serenity and warm thoughts. Beautiful.
