Twins

Twins

A Poem by Sara

Twins

In the red beating womb
our fishy bodies mirror
each other
and our webbed hands reach
out and clasp.
We whisper embryonic
secrets, our tails
curled in mischievous delight.
But you are lost in a
metallic rush
and I am left to traverse the
path to life
alone.
In this sterile world, my thoughts
linger
in
a
claustrophobic
mind.

Hi! I'm just a simple college student from Texas who enjoys storytelling in all its forms. I'm quite shy, so I find writing much easier than talking since I don't have to put up with my usual stutteri.. more..
