Tiny Glass HeartA Poem by SazakuAncient domains of restless, roaming words. The hallowed grounds of realities blurred. Distant desires hopelessly lost beneath a visage of smiling frost. There's so much still I can never know like some great sum I'll always owe to some faceless Keeper beyond the veil. Is it so much to want a memorable tale? Take this tiny glass heart and fill it with sand. Drain my dreams til their wonder's bland. One day I'll show you - those distant stars are the inspiration for these earthly scars. This soul was never keen on staying quiet, it was only through violence it silenced. A wandering echo of yonder past, a spirit ferried aloft on the winds of ambivalence. But you made me this way. Are you satisfied? I pray you tracked the times I wished I'd died. What right do you have to say there's a reason - as if you think torture can be called a lesson? No, damn the voices telling me to hold my tongue! I refuse to believe I'm me because of damage done to one who had absolutely nowhere to run. Beaten and shunned just for being Your son. But... so it goes, doesn't it? I guess I've certainly become something, I'll admit. Sometimes I even start to think that something is satisfactory, and then I return to little ol' transparent... me.
