Sticks and stones

Sticks and stones

A Poem by SimplyDisastrous

Sticks and stones may break my bones

But words will forever hurt me

They cut me deep

And leave me to weep

On the floor of my broken dreams and scattered wishes.

I wanted to change the original saying to, you know, fit my perspective of things. I've always wanted to change the way that saying was. There might be a part two to this, saying the exact opposite of what I'm saying here. I don't know yet.

Anyways, enjoy my crappy poem! [:

Words are very powerful. A good example was J.F. Kennedy in Germany. His statement said incorrect. It's in German and stand tall for the world to read today. I learn the hard way. Nothing good to say. Say nothing. You said the truth in your poem. Words can break a life and heart. A excellent poem.

The last line is a bit out of rhythm. Words are more powerful than violence. They speak to us in ways physical pain never could. A moving write.
