Today's society

Today's society

A Poem by SimplyDisastrous

-F**k

I curse the day that this Earth was polluted

With son-of-a-b***h’s, heartless b******s; whatever name suits them

If I could go back in time, I would go back and stop today’s civilization from being made

We live in a world that undermines ones self confidence, strips them of identity, and forces them to fade.

-S**t

You have no idea how today’s society piss me the f**k off

I’ve watched too many of my close friends lose themselves and get lost

Lost in insults from the outside world, swimming in their own lack of personality,

Being drained of their pride, stripped from their own sense of rationality

-F**k, s**t

In this world, people don’t matter. It’s all about sex, money, cars,

Drugs, alcohol, partying, entertainment, or even, if were lucky, becoming a star

People just don’t care about hurting people’s feelings anymore,

I guess the ol’ “Treat others the way you would like to be treated” started to

Become a bore.

But to blame you, my friends, would just be a tragedy

That’s not to say that this hate will ever go away, though, this continuous agony

I think this was a good write...because things you have said are true...but it shouldn't...the world shouldn't be like this...I don't think that anyone should ever should have to go through today's society..so I feel bad when babies are born in this generation...thanks for sharing.

Almost like a rap. But one with much deeper meaning than a lot of rap out there. The profanities add to the meaning of your message. I've had the unpleasant experience of having to stop someone from slipping away. This has a great message.

I don't have much to add, but I totally agree.

Excellent. A great write. So much of this Earth is fucked up and you are exactly write. It became less about what we have to offer and more about what we have. It's foolish...and we will be the destruction of ourselves.

With Love,

Jaidyn

I definitely agree. Great thought put to words my Dear friend. You've proclaimed what so many others have no idea how to put into words. Wonderful thought and idea, and wonderful words. Great write.

We must fix this Earth one person at a time. Pollution and violence seem to be going rampant. Need more calm souls with their heart as the lead. Not profit or gain as their desire. Ain't too late. We need common sense and strong people to lead the way. I like this poem. I was once on the road of fight and change this world. I learn no-one want anger and fear. Need love and kindness to overcome the demons in this world. A excellent poem. You made me think.
