A Poem by sea lily

a week apart,

and they all descend.

no surprise

through drinks, i cried

and longed for...

a safer place than this.

a familiar face

to kiss.

knotted string between my organs,

crying-in-the-bathroom girl,

that's when a beautiful stranger

said; "don't return to him."

but between the veil that hid me

from her world

i was too distant.

for once,

too thin.

these days

i keep one rose pressed,

between pre-raphaelite pages.

the rest were gone

when i came home one day

and i didn't question it.

and all your jumpers,

have lost the smell of you.

it's a lonely place,

and christmas is coming.

but i won't be going back.

There was allot of intricately written lines, eloquently put, but I sense the message gets a little lost, watered down of what you're trying to express to the reader. If you wanted, and went back and thought what exactly you're wanting to say, and took your most powerful lines that held true to the point, would you not have a wonderful experiment on your hands? Maybe, you're very own Mona Lisa.... =op

Flows like a streaming river, it fits like a jig saw piece and is as touching as an injured puppy. :P

Flows beautifully. I was really able to picture this poem in my head, and I saw this person as being sad but also strong and wanting to move on. A very well written poem...good job!
