Lament

Lament

A Poem by Sean Kuchman
"

One of my oldest poems, from 1995

"
One space
Black armband
Magnificent
Promises
In the beginning
At the end
The beast
Pecked s**t
Mud and sweat
Blood and tears
A razors edge
Bones of the dead
Left here in genocide
I want to die
To sleep
Perchance to dream
Paradise kiss
Mr. Mojo Risin
The gray castle
(maybe Jim was right…)
and now it’s my turn to dance
with a lady named Death

Magnificent and dark. "Ay, there's the rub: for in that sleep of death, what dreams may come."

About
I have been writing all of my life. I wrote my first short story- a choose your own adventure- when I was 8. I have been hard at it ever since. I do not do it for want of fame, fortune or glory- altho.. more..
