A Poem by David Koran

I've been walking along too many clouds
watching the cold pavement drift by in the breeze
seeing the sun rise down behind the hills
shining dark into the morning night
Too many storms have burst below
drenching the soles of my shoes
tracing lightning towards the concrete sky
pealing thunder beneath my feet
So many times the tall antennas
were low enough to touch
and my misty evening walking path
wove between blinking stalactites
And I stood upon a soft white shore
to cast a stone across the stars
managing even a skip or two
before it fell too high to see

And the spiraling wisps of cloud
still dancing round my feet
form capsized silhouettes of you
in my lonely inverse cityscape

About
I'm a poet. It comes naturally to me, and people seem to like my work. I figure that's enough to justify my passion. I'm ecclectic too, enjoying theater, music, games, outdoors, history, and talents o.. more..
