To Anywhere

To Anywhere

A Poem by David Koran

It'll be post marked by tomorrow
twelve stamps
five languages
and no return address
I wrote it
with you in mind
dancing that old dance
in the musty gymnasium
of our old town.
There was a clarinet,
I think,
somewhere in the darkness
keeping time with your twirls
wreathing you in rhythm

I'm not sure what I wrote
or even what I meant to say
but I sealed it anyway
and tomorrow,
in thunder storms and running ink
the postman will move like lightning
with no direction in particular

And maybe, just maybe
when my message makes
the four corners of everywhere
it'll settle in your hands
or someone, who understands.

About
I'm a poet. It comes naturally to me, and people seem to like my work. I figure that's enough to justify my passion. I'm ecclectic too, enjoying theater, music, games, outdoors, history, and talents o.. more..
