Happiness

Happiness

A Poem by SeemsPoetic

Creating Happiness

I was told to do what I love and do what I like

But if all I want to do is be happy

I’m still stuck wondering which path is right

I wish to live free

Not with the ability to do as I please

But...

With the ability to live happily

I was once told that happiness…

Is like a masterpiece

It takes time to create

But for many of us

We try to buy happiness

Rather than taking the time it takes to make

I was told to be careful where I find my happiness

To not make a mistake

Because like buying a masterpiece

Somewhere down the road…

You could find out it was fake

By then you can't take it back

It's far too late
