Follow The Piper.

Follow The Piper.

A Poem by Bryan Sefton
"

Advice to adults.

"
There they are laughing singing and dancing
It's a game sadly, I cannot play
It's a scene glowing in a mind growing
All but unknowing it's lost in a day
Gone in a twinkle, lost in a second
Held in a tiny hand too small to hold
And yet it's more precious than buckets of diamonds
Barrels of rubies, quarries of gold
Minds, clear as spring water catching bright sunshine
Free from all human greed, free from all hate
Blessed with God's loving, left to its learning
How will you fare my loves left to your fate?
I in my helplessness, I in my sorrow
I with sincerity, give this advice
Go find the Piper, tell him I sent you
Say I'm the crippled boy he left behind
Say I'll forgive him if only he'll take you
Away from the ignorant, greedy and blind
Then hear the music, then feel the feelings
Cling to the promises made as he plays
Then go with the Piper, go with him laughing
Go with him dancing, through all of your days.

Lovely sentiments expressed wonderfully well.
I like the lower key use of rhyme as the propeller of this craft.

I appreciate your comment. Thanks a lot
I liked the twist in an old lullaby.
"Then go with the piper, go with him laughing
Go with him dancing, through all of your days"
I liked the ending a lot. Sending another, accepting his place. Thank you, Bryan, for sharing the excellent poetry.
