Sepulchral

Something happens when you dig a trench and bury.

Dirt lies on top,

damp,

weighted,

and cold.

Time passes…and forgotten becomes.

Surrounded in solitary protection,

the buried exists.

Fragile…

tiny whispered notes knock beneath…

Frail…

thriving amidst this hollow mausoleum

Time passes…and forgotten emerges.

Over-the-top ashes no longer protect.

Fallen petals collect in tidy pools,

eager credence given to renewal.

Time passes…and forgotten becomes.

Time passes…

There is such a journey across the edges of life and death, the wondering of the world, the wandering down each path. And sometimes we hope something could stay down, stay buried, stay hidden, and yet it keeps coming back to haunt us. Time passes, yes, and sometimes we think the winter killed it, yet it rises back in its own spring voice. So powerfully moving.

As ever always, extraordinary phrases set gently YET with deep touches of despair. Prayers for the lack of protection but hopes that Self is able to work its own miracles. and renewal becomes Time passes.. and survival becomes the norm. Sweeter thoughts filter the grey of your words, dear you... Hugs.
