Wicked Wind

Wicked Wind

A Poem by Seriana

Wicked Wind

The branches sway

to the rhythm of the day,

and I feel the balmy breeze brush my hair,

slightly wisping across my shoulders,

flushing the warm air in a tickle.

The whispering wind wraps around,

in a whirlwind of whisks,

dancing to a tune all its own.

Just when I think I know its flow,

it flits and whorls,

in serendipitous round moves,

sporadically fluffing my hair

with its feisty flighty fingers.

I feel the impish air brush my hair…

wicked little wind

The main reason I love living near wilderness as I do is becuz of the way the air feels. I've always wanted to be able to write about the air in a way that matches how magic it feels to me here. This poem does it. I love your dynamic playful softness, as you deliver the punches from the wicked wind. I love your use of unusual complex words put into a context that helps them feel friendly & softly playful like wind (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

This has a romantic feel to it where the narrator is enjoy the wind whipping around in circles.

Nature is amazing and it can calm us and make us forget all our troubles and get a way from the noise of it all

I find that the first three lines open this piece nicely and it just gets better from there. To most the wind is an annoyance but if you take the time to play along, an enjoyable experience can easily be found, even if the wind is merely teasing. Really nicely crafted.

Thank you so very much again! I appreciate your thoughts!
There is a sweet wildness here... the wind so playful... at times peaceful... at time a bit wicked it seems... How it inspires! So glad you were outside so it could speak these words into you. Nature is a vast, endless inspiration for the poetry of our souls. :)

' I feel the impish air brush my hair… ~ wicked little wind '

Both breeze and wicked little wind certainly have minds of their own and ~ I must say, laughs me in that they show selves as cheeky, mischievous, rather like a kitty cat ~ not to be ignored! They take such cheeky liberties with the human form, playful rather than causing havoc. For/to me your wording is more appreciative than concerned by those 'ticklish treats'!
