Of Ships and Lighthouses

Of Ships and Lighthouses

A Poem by Sethnicity
"

Where Justice Meets Ethnicity.... in dreams and riptides.

"

(POETIC JUSTICE)

Alight, An Anchor which holds me down

Where Love becomes a verbal noun

A tower built on dreamy aspirations

Allowed to love without complications

Where you and I are free to spend

A life of joyous bliss pretend

No whispers carried care to steal

Truth my heart has learnt to feel

Begot the troubles that held me down

In robes of red you wear your crown

(SETHNICITY)

And You wear the ribbons and crests

Side by side sat like east and west

We roll like hills through hard times

We tumbleweeds rolled shore lines

Beyond the bounds of space and rhymes

Love made Us now we make wind chimes

She's the Radio in my Head winter

I'll be the Serj in Her Vega center...

Who found Who?

Paper or Ink?

To Thought or To Think?

Has a real march time rhythm through most of your poem and uses some great phrases .. 'No whispers carried care to steal ~ Truth my heart has learnt to feel~ Begot the troubles that held me down ~ In robes of red you wear your crown'

As to the ending. superb! Maybe, both but not at the same time.

This is so romantic and lovely, Seth. It flows like a summer dream across the page, and with your delicate use of nature in the symbolisms and imagery is masterful. The two last stanzas are my favorites. Love it!

This writing is as a level I seek to understand...Which is something I have trained my mind not to do..."Seek"...But I have found understanding in this moment...

I'm listening as I "Rest In Poetry... Justice".

i can't even comprehend how you made this so tactile, so real. the flow, the rhymes, the word choices, the images; it is all so overwhelming and powerful! and the last line is incredible! this whole piece is just, explosive. i love it!
