Reflections

A Poem by Eryn ♪

She appears, sweet, innocent, simple.
An open book, read, re-read, memorized.
Staring confident, sure, unafraid.
A child, a woman of youth.
Beautiful.

Sinister.
A dragon, a woman in darkness.
Broken, cautious, terrified.
Complex, a puzzle, a labyrinth.
She is lost, holding strong, suffering inner turmoil.
My mask, My face.
My face, a mask.

Wow, this was... um, confusing? However, with masks, that's how it's supposed to be, right? Either way, I can't really tell you much due to your poem length. Even so, let me be honest. This was chilling, intriguing, simple, difficult, hopeful, despairing, as well as true. Everyone has two sides. Everything does for that matter. You seized that subject, that reality, well. Very - how to put it? - awesome work!

I love it :) I think it shows that we put on appearances for others on the outside and pretend to be angels while on the inside we are like little devils.

This is beautiful. It seems like the mask is easier to wear sometimes. Very well written.
