Please Stop

Please Stop

A Poem by Shadow

Brothers and Sisters of Humanity

Please stop ignoring our collective similarities

Brothers and Sisters of the Human Race

Please stop denying your fellow man the right to move at his own pace

Brothers and Sisters of All Generations

Please Stop engaging in this self defamation

Brothers and Sisters of Every Color and Creed

Please Stop starving yourselves and your children of what we really need....

Please Stop cutting corners to make a quick dollar today that'll ultimately cost you several dozen tomorrow.

Brothers and Sisters who choose to teach

Please Stop thinking the state mandated minimum you need to reach

Brothers and Sisters who are not yet of age

Please stop misplacing your rage, your parents are not to blame, nor are the authorities that you encounter everyday.

The ones to blame are the ones who never set foot on your street

The ones who will never know what it's like to walk a mile to the down troddin beat

Young Brothers and Sisters Please stop using "N***a" like it's your last name

With every use you only add to that words shame

Please Stop..............

Powerful message for today, reaching deep into not only what we must prevent but encouraging us to move toward reformation! The ultimate statement comes to me through the repeated cry of "brothers and sisters..." Here is where we find the hope for all future generations. May we all see with these eyes!
