Perceived Potential

Perceived Potential

A Poem by ShadowWhysper

An arched eyebrow, a wondering mind

Curious to know what you might find

Delving into a person’s thoughts

Trying to unravel these twisted knots

You may be wrong, you are still naïve

Things are not always as you believe

You tend to see the best of what may be

Yet this view does not reflect reality

There is a balance in everything

Do not be blind to what the worst may bring

People are not perfect, there’s always room to grow

Learn to see it all, so the truth you may know

You have a knack for modulation, I've noticed, and always do to subtly and at the right times. Another great piece! (Contracting the "are not" in "People are not perfect" would actually help the musicality of the poem, but other than that -) Well done!
