Forever searching but unsure of where to look
Feeling like I’m missing important pages of this book
Sure, I’ve got the bindings and the basics are all there
But just what is the focus of this story that I have to share?

Trying to do research, to fill my story in
With only bits and pieces, where do I begin?
Fighting writer’s block, I need a new perspective
Pressured by the deadline for reaching my objective

Even when I have the rough draft completed
There’s still much to do before I’ll have succeeded
Copyedit, rewrite, polish and refine
Then I will have the final story that is mine
