A Final Fight

A Final Fight

A Story by Shane

Monday April 20, 2008:New York Central Park

Me and my father have been training for a fight in five days in Las Vegas for a whole year now. I was to face Kilo, the man who supposedly killed many people in New York, including my brother. Now, I am holding him in my arms, bullethole in his heart..i had tears in my eyes, as i held him. He whispered something, barely audible, but i could hear what he said..it was cut off by his heart finally stopping, and my misery was replaced with pure, demented rage.

Saturday April 25, 2008:Vas Legas UFC Arena

As i walked down the walkway, sweat started pouring from all of my pores. The crowd was wild, every single person in the room screaming either my name, or my opponents. When i stepped into the cage, i looked at into my opponent, Kilo's, eyes. They were cold and lifeless, as if he didnt care at all about whether i died, as long as he won. I tried 2 return the look, but it came out as more of a brave puppy dog look, because he shook his head and took off his rob. When i took mine off, i realized that i was sweating profusly..i started wanting to back down, to give up..but then i remembered my father's final wish.."Son..i want you to beat Kilo..he killed...." and then died beofre he could tell me. I intend to make Kilo pay for whoever he killed, and complete my father's final wish. This was it, the fight of my life..the ref annouced our names, tapped out knuckles, and it began. It was a glorious 2 rounds, there were many times where i thought he was going to beat me, but i would always preform a move my..father..had taught me. Finally, in round 3, halfway through, we were locked up tight, both as tired as could be, when i got behind him and pulled off a sleeper! i had won the match!!! The crowd went absoultely insane, cheering like crazy, but all i could do was sit there in overwhelming joy..i looked up and said, "Your welcome" and walked out of the cage, hand held high, with a huge grin on my face.

Bruce, the owner of this diary, was shot yesterday by a fellow gang member of the notorious killer Kilo..his funeral will be held at the same time as his father's.

This is an amiable story. It is also very forlorn. It almost made me shed a tear. But it is well-written, and uses congenial imagery. I could very much so conceptualize everything that was happening. Very nice. :)

Really nice, great idea and all, but it would a bit more detailing.
And the plot was...shaky.
Sorry if I sound harsh...
But it's a good write for something 'just come up with' and it would be cool to see it being added onto before the first entry.

A compelling story. I thought it was interesting how you set in the future and the two different settings.
