sun kissed visions

sun kissed visions

A Poem by Jesse N. Wall

While breathing
bits of sentences
in and out and all
night long...

You killed my slumber dead you
  slapped me
  with your sweet
   haiku.

     from clouds of color
sun kissed visions fell through sky
     to be swallowed hot

I've never been that moved by haiku. But this was a nice ode. Maybe I need to revisit my center ;-).

Exactly. I remember those days thinking I would never rest. And you got all the words out beautifully. Just lovely. :)

Great flow, and I love the unfettered structure of this... brill Jesse x

50 years ago, my english teacher scolded me for not using proper punctuation in a poem I wrote and he still does to this day whenever I send him my work. I would at least move the word 'you' to the next line to maintain the flow and you might consider saying 'fall'. Nice work by the way.

Outstanding work! When words flow as well as yours, it's fun and enjoyable to read. Love your word choice as well!

Ah yes...it is very difficult to ignore the call of the pen when the words come feverishly in the night. Nicely done.

I'm hoping WC is about real connections between writers. Expanding one's readership is a big part of being a writer, but it's less important than an active role with the right group of people. (.. more..
