I will have five in April. A baby boy is due. Hello dear Sharon and I hope you are doing well and stay safe.

I am well enough, and safe in these seemingly unsafe times.
Congratulations on your soon-to-be new grandchild!
No boy grandchildren here, 5 granddaughters keep me busy.
The eldest will be 17 later in April and the youngest is 4... all my 2 daughters girls. My 2 sons (in their 30's) don't have children (yet).
Take care and be safe, grandchildren need grandparents xx

in the realm of words we dream of touching others...
but where are they? why are they distant?
we have meanings, feelings, heart to convey...
where are they? we cry not so much for glory, but the recognition of what is within our souls as poets.
some kind of understanding...that we are heard.

Hello Jacob... so true... glory is far from my mind and hearts desire, and I have no delusions about becoming a richly paid writer...
... but to go unnoticed, with feedback or commentary from peer writers can be disheartening.
Many times when I have voiced thoughts of this kind in writing groups I hear "I write for myself"
But if that was the only reason they/we write... then why share it in a open forum?
