The green-eyed monster

The green-eyed monster

A Poem by Infinite hexes

                                                            You suck                                     You really do

                            All these years

                You've been doing nothing

                         But ruining my life

        Those stupid rumors and lies

        Hide behind your brown eyes

           But there’s a question I must ask

                        Why?

                     Sometimes I do wonder

                      What was your reason

                          Sometimes I don’t

                    Who'd waste their time

Thinking of a loser like you

      Accusing my winsome anatomy

Jealousy - that can be creepy

How could I have been so blind

                                  To your dark green side

                 Yes, behind those brown eyes

                      Lies an acid green

                           You are

               The green-eyed monster my friend

                 Always hiding under my bed

                   So come and swallow me

                  Innocent brain- a good feed

                     Eat my grace and artistry

                     My green-eyed monster

Wonderful!!! I love how the first words kind've catch you and draw you in...when I read them I was all like "yeah, I know I suck" I was a little sad that you figured it out so soon.... But I kept reading :D and it turns out you didn't know that I suck!!! But I guess since I just told you now you know....anyways.....way off topic here.
I like this one :D :D Especially how you're not really naming what the monster did to you, just...yeah....

Capturing, stunning. You really have a boogyman, which everyone has.

I like how this is not an attack on anouther person but a reflection into your own mind...
Well done and a true look at the real "monster".
Be well.

A powerful tale in the poem. Those green-eyed can steal our thoughts and dreams. I like the flow of thoughts and the very good ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
