Lost

Lost

A Poem by L.G. Knight
"

Sleep deprived...

"

I feel as though there is no point

In living the day to day

I try so hard to be who I am

But who I am has gone astray

I never know what's me anymore

Or how I would act

I try to tell others about me but never know

If what I say is fact

I’ve lost my since of direction

My internal compass is broken

I choke on words I should say

And let loose those best left unspoken

I can't find my way my path is dark

Void of ANY light

I am stumbling down this path

With no vision for the night

Yet somehow I stumbled into you

along this slippery crack

And with each new day you find a way

To bring a little of the old me back

So I stumble along on this slikppery steep path

Till finally I take your hand

And you lead, with gentleness and ease

Till we reach the flat lands.

Aww I like this one a lot fran! Great write. I can really relate to this one a lot. I know the feeling, far too well, of becoming a stranger to yourself. It sucks. But I love the way you express it all here and it's always good to have someone to help bring you back to you! Nice write, girl!
