Devils Depths

Devils Depths

A Poem by Shelley
"

Allurance into the water

"

Look down. Look deep.

Ever translucent yet hidden are the depths.

Peace and terror. Comforting hell. Ever-changing but looks oh so the same.

Watch me move and envelope all, sweeping away, stand tall least fall.

Where are you?

Are you there?

Muted silence.  Devils snare.

Invited in at beck and call.

Will you listen? Come one, come all.

Screams are silent. Tears all fade.

Floating freely, no one cares.

Peace you see but Hell entrapped.

Elusive serenity. Cold daggers down thine back.

Numbness follows each breathe quelled.

Close your eyes let down your hair.

Sink sweet sleep, our friendship dear.

Always mine now that you’re here.

Fight no more all is calm

Where screams are silent,

 Tears cease fall.
