I Thought I Told You So

I Thought I Told You So

A Poem by Sherwette

I thought I told you so

And so she has been telling me

You had to let it go

Because it was killing me

It wasn’t like before

Now it got a new key

You wouldn’t get no more

It wasn’t meant to be

You will have to be a pro

I am standing on my knee

It was a while ago

I will climb a new tree

You will have to grow

Today I am free to be

A place where there is no, No

Then we do agree

Interesting piece of work, the rhyming is solid and the message packs a punch.

Nice job.

The rhyming scheme in this is interesting... it goes back and forth. And with the italics it looks like a doubled speaker is talking. Almost as if the person is multiple personality and they're arguing over something. Or it could be the heart talking to the person. Either way it's good. The title catches you just as well.
Good job.

Ah! How very chilling...I love this, a really great poem, honestly, I love the italicized lines, it adds a lot of 'haunting' atmosphere to the poem...the flow is pretty good...anyway, this is beautiful, and I really, really like it :)
