Breathe Again

Breathe Again

A Poem by BabyGee
"

This is a song I wrote for a musical collaboration. It's about the struggles of a girl who is in an unhealthy/emotionally controlling relationship but is too in love with the man to leave his side.

"
Breathe Again

How did we wind up here again
I ask myself this question
As I fall down down to my knees,
bowing to your every whim.

Like flames, you consume my soul
I can hear the voices
Scream in vain..
It's like you've always had control
This was not one of my choices
and if I ever let you go
I'd have to learn...
to breathe again

Just one kiss from your lips
Can make me forget all of it.
The love you give to me,
So bittersweet, yet venomous.

Feeling helpless, feelin lost
A love so priceless, but what's the cost?
Broken spirit or broken heart?
One wrong move, it all falls apart.
Is it worth it or am I naive?
Losing you or losing me?
So many doubts, when will he see
It's not true love, if I can't breathe.

Like flames, you consume my soul
I can hear the voices
Scream in vain..
It's like you've always had control
This was not one of my choices
and if I ever let you go
I'd have to learn...
to breathe again
