Sweet Suicide

Sweet Suicide

A Poem by Laura
"

The beauty and irony of Suicide

"

Speak of suicide with sweet sincerity
Tie the noose with loving care
Load the barrel smiling widely
Take the pills when your wrist wont tear.
Go on living full and bright
Filled with hope and rage.
No one will see you when you jump
Death is just another stage.
Slit your wrists with waning courage
Take the pills with guiltless fear
Teeter on the very edge
Your life resting on a chair.
Go on imagining all
The tears that will be cried
When shocked and silent faces
Discover how you died.
And now the doubts begin to surface
Each one grows and will stay
You take just one step back
You pull the knife away
Go on hating secretly
All the things you love
In moments you’ll be dangling
From the ceiling fan above.
Speak softly of sweet suicide
For it will ease the pain
Fill the bathtub full of water
So your blood wont leave a stain.
Go on pull the trigger and see life flash
Before your eyes
See how everything beautiful
Rots away and dies.
