The Room

The Room

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Sandalwood

vanilla

so Sublime

as to ripen

up the mind

in sweet coniptions

of ecstasy

as we flail

about the floor

not able to wait

anymore

too crazed

craved

to bother

taking the stairs

we land

right where we are

in one anothers

arms

sensually embracing

each others

undertakings

sickly sweet

wet

dripping

dropping

into the aroma

that takes me

as you do

when you first

enter,

the room.

I noticed a comment below re this poem reading like honey dripping. Indeed!

Again, your seamless concreteness conjures an understated elegant sensuality. Your overall artistic grace translates to sweet naturalism in matters erotic.

Delicious simplicity; lovely honeyed passion. Yum! ;-)

As always, your words draw me in and your mind's eye will not release me until you have squeezed out the last drop of my attention. Your poetry is like watching honey drip ever so slowly from a silver spoon; so beautiful that it demands not to be taken for granted, but to be relished in its natural exquisiteness.

Scorching and tactile. I enjoyed how the only linear moment is the woman's recollection of entering, and how that brings us to the place we first started so we can linger in soft embers again...and who wears the sandalwood vanilla? The room? Is the door marked "erotic rollercoaster"? Or "Two women"? Great androgyny and the eros works for hetero and other o. One word delays into the next as we approach together the point of no return. Please write a novel of this, a thick novel...

up the mind

in sweet coniptions

of ecstasy"

Well, this is an amazing piece...very provocative and sensual. You're quite the language master (or mistress, as the case may be...a craftsman, to be sure). I liked "sweet coniptions of ecstacy." Your ending is brilliant. I look forward to enjoying more of your work.
