My Mind and Yours

When opposites meet there personality's intertwine, then simply decline.

To me, I find things unwritten, not neat, harshly bitten. 

Like not everybody's on the same page, or even reading the same book. Like languages need to be remade, saved as in the way they look.

To me (And I know just me) things seem strange, I have urges to change them. 

Develop a whole box of photo rolls, to be the one I 'can' control. 

To me, to you, to me, to you...

To you, this world may seem fine, written the way it was: divine.

You go along, you're one of them you know, you sing 'that' song.

You run like the river, and howl like the moon. You seek to find too soon.

To you, life's a beach, an ocean, a single peach.

I understand that; your life as it were.

But it always dawns on me the very same question, and I don't know if I can be sure.

Who out of us is living correctly, are we living naturally or unfairly?

To you, to me, to you, to me...

To me, I need answers, I need to see, you know? I need to be.

I can't go through life with this heart. Its a book. We all have the same one. Just reach out and look. Covered in rules and drowned in emotions.

I go off script often and come back shaking, its tragic to think the way I do, but to you... 

I'd hate to live the way you do.

It seems like you had a particular person in mind when you wrote this. More likely, I'd say you had a particular type of person in mind. As far as the "you" character goes, they appear to be one that is satisfied with the given "truths" of life and has no need for further inquisition or discovery. To put it blunt, it seems as though you are contrasting yourself to someone who is ignorant or would just rather not know than to know. Might i say a religious person? Did you have someone particular in mind when writing this? Possibly an uptight ignorant religious person with whom you are conversationally intimate with?

This is a very thoughtful poem. It made me think-what kind of person am I? Or even, can I be a bit of both? I believe life is not perfect, in fact, life sucks, but that didn't mean you can't live that way. Very good. Excellent write.
