Is It Love?

I wrote this after a friend and i were talking about what love really is.

Tonight I was told to define love
How do I define love?
It’s hard enough to describe,
Let alone define
Love…

Love is
When your heart soars
Just from seeing him
Hearing his voice
Feeling his touch

Love is
Feeling safe
No matter the circumstances
Just because
He’s by your side

Love is
Knowing he wouldn’t hurt you
Because he cares
Only for you
And he wants to take care of you

Love is
Seeing a future
Knowing it’s him by your side
Knowing that you
And only you
Are the one he wants to be with

Love is
Trusting enough to let him go
Because you know
He only has eyes for you

Love is
Lying together and listening to each other breathe,
Hearing your hearts beat together
Life’s song rushing though your veins
Pounding in your ears
And the harmony is met
Together

So love is…
Well I don’t know what love is
I don’t think anyone does
But I do know
It feels amazing,
Like flying and running and falling
All at the same time
A thrill that can only be found once
But is different every time
Once you find it
Don’t let go
It’s yours to hold forever

Hm... Yea... I really like this poem. Love... It isn't really definable if, for no other reason than that... No one feels anything exactly the same way. Love is unique. Great write.
